Adoption Legal Process
The adoption legal process can be confusing and at times a bit overwhelming. This adoption blog will offer personal and legal insights regarding the legal process of adoption.
I would like to begin this adoption blog by introducing my firm: Adoption Legal Services. We are located near the Spokane County Courthouse in Spokane Washington. We offer legal assistance to those seeking to adopt a child through a private adoption, step parent adoption, agency adoption, international adoption and second parent adoption.
The members of the firm are:

Mark R. Iverson: Adoption attorney. Mark graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1988. He is a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys. Mark is the father of three children. His practice is devoted to assisting people build families through adoption.

Colleen Hackley: Adoption paralegal. Colleen graduated in 1994 from Spokane Community College with a Paralegal degree. She has worked as an Adoption Paralegal for the past ten years assisting with all aspects of the adoption process. Colleen was raised and has lived in the Spokane area all her life and has a fourteen year old son. She is an invaluable resource for adoptive families and is always available to answer questions.

Jan Lammers: Adoption Consultant. Jan majored in psychology with a minor in business. Jan became an Adoption Consultant with Adoption legal services after working for 36 years with the Department of Social and Health Services. Jan was Program Manager with the Adoption Support Program working directly with foster parents, adoptive families, private agencies and therapists. Jan offeres a unique perspective and is available for consultation to assist foster families in navigating the state foster care adoption process.

Annie Iverson: Receptionist. Annie is an adult adoptee. She attends SFCC and is interested in early childhood development. Annie schedules appointments, schedules adoption hearings with judicial officers and drafts correspondence and basic pleadings.
Each week we will post a subject of interest for prospective adoptive parents. We also offer free consultations by phone or in person for anyone interested in adopting a child.
